Rose Garden Sculpture At The President's House
It is always a pleasure to announce a new project brought to the University by the Master Craftsman Studio and this one did not disappoint. On Saturday Oct. 31st The Master Craftsman Studio unveiled a glass and bronze rose sculpture. The sculpture was commissioned by Florida State University in order to give thanks to all of its past and present 1st Ladies of the University.
The sculpture was placed in the center of the reflecting pool which is located in the 1st Ladies Tribute Garden outside the new Presidents House. The rose sculpture features a flower composed of white and pink "fused glass" and a stem made of bronze complete with leaves and thorns. The sculpture is accompanied a wonderfully hand crafted reflecting pool, beautifully landscaped roses as well as two commemorative benches previously installed by the Master Craftsman Studio.
We at the Master Craftsman Studio are always thrilled to have the opportunity to extend the innovation and expertise of our student artists. Working hands-on with the new President's House is a point of pride we all share. We are grateful to have students helping to keep the legacy of Florida State University alive.
