The Future Master Craftsman Facility

We are proud to announce we have achieved a significant point in our building project. Culpepper Construction has agreed to contribute generous resources and energy to the design and construction of our future facilities. Ray Manning of Tercilla Courtemanche Architects is now drafting the construction documents.

Master Craftsman Studios is pleased to be a positive link in our university and city. Our location and our future will be an asset to both and a fine example of the fruits of cooperation.

Who We Are

Master Craftsman Studios is a unique university department. We specialize in servicing the institutions’ creative desires for its campus. As an in-house studio to the school, we work with a wide variety of university entities such as maintenance, grounds, planning, design, public relations, athletics, and academics. We are a self-subsidizing auxiliary of the university which means we generate our own funding. Students see a working professional studio and are exposed to the inner business workings from estimates and ideas, to installation and invoices. This format allows us great opportunities to demonstrate to students the confluence of creativity and entrepreneurship. This practice helps students see that their creativity is a powerful tool that can solve any problem.

The Sail High School students created scratch blocks while long-time crew member Cassia Reimer provided an explanation of how our cupola furnace works. The students' creations were then cast as part of the Master Craftsman's final iron pour of the season.
